The Green Mamba

The Moran family flew into town Friday night. After settling everyone into the hotel, Shannon and I drove out to the Raceway Park in Shakopee. We watched as car race in a figure eight, just barely missing each other at the intersection. I have to admit that I got right into the racing as the second place car keeps trying to over take the leader.

The "highlight" of the show was The Green Mamba. It is basically a jet engine with wheels attached to it. It came out at half time to "flare" it's after burner and go around the track a few times. At the end of the night, they brought out a working car and hooked it to the back of the Mamba. When the Mamba flared it's afterburner, it melted the car right down into a pile of molten metal. Cool.
